Domaine de Baronarques

We absolutely loved our experience at the wine yard! The tour guide, a sweet British Lady (unfortunately forgot her name) who is also the export manager passionately explained the history around the wine yard and family to us, followed by an interesting wine making tour and the best well elaborated wine tasting we have done. The wines are amazing and I would 100% recommend this experience if you’re looking for well established wines and a unique experience.

Very professional guide taking us around this charming estate. Took the 1.5 hour tour was enjoyed by all of us.

Our charming guide provided a good history of the estate, a short walk at the edge of the vineyard, and an informative tour of the winemaking and storage areas. This is a very impressive Estate into which is obvious the Rothschild company has made significant investment. This investment appears to be paying dividends in the quality of the three wines we tasted at the end of our tour. Their white wine is excellent but their two quality red wines are to me their flagship products. One warning, don’t rely on Google Maps for sat nav directions. We ended up at the end of a very steep, gravel track, on the top of a hill, at a dead end. Luckily my 4WD allowed me to turn in a field and go back down the track. But I can’t blame the Chateau for that.

Our group of 5 had a great visit at the beautiful wine estate. The SUV trip into the vineyards was unusual and fun. We enjoyed everything, and certainly the wine as well!
