Nous avons été accueillis par Léa qui as su s'adapter à notre niveau de connaissance, nous avons passés un très bon moment autour d'une dégustation bien menée tant au niveau des explications que du partage. Je recommande, à visiter les yeux fermés ! Mais pas trop quand même il ne faudrait pas trébucher pendant la visite quand même !

A great winery visit. The wine brewing equipment and storage barrels were interesting. Tasting wine in the garden overlooking the vineyard was really special.

I recently had the pleasure of joining a wine tour at Chateux Gigognan in France. This unforgettable experience not only allowed me to taste exquisite wines but also provided a deep dive into the rich history and intricate processes behind this renowned winery.The tour began with a captivating storytelling session about the history of the estate. Our guide's passionate narration transported us back in time, offering a comprehensive understanding of Chateux Gigognan's cultural heritage. Following this, we explored the vineyard where the guide detailed the vineyard's scale, geographical location, and the grape varieties grown, particularly highlighting some iconic varieties from the region through their educational plots.During our walk through the vineyard, the guide explained the growth cycle of the grapevines. From budding in spring to harvest in autumn, each phase revealed the secrets of wine production. We also learned about the impact of seasonal and climatic conditions on grape growth and the vineyard's advanced techniques in grape cultivation and management.We then moved on to explore the production and aging areas, a segment I found particularly fascinating. Witnessing the transformation of grapes into fine wine firsthand, we learned about the fermentation and aging processes. The guide elaborated on their unique winemaking techniques, showcasing not only the winery's expertise but also their passion and commitment to the art of winemaking.Coming from China, we only speak a little English and do not understand French at all. Despite this language barrier, the hospitality of the Chateux Gigognan staff made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. Through their warm gestures, expressive communication, and sincere smiles, they ensured we fully enjoyed and understood the tour. Their efforts made us feel more like friends sharing a passion for wine rather than mere visitors.Throughout the tour, our guide’s lively explanations made every aspect of the visit both enjoyable and educational. They weren't just imparting knowledge but sharing a love for life and a deep respect for wine culture. Even with the language differences, their expressive communication allowed us to fully appreciate the professionalism and joy of winemaking, and their enthusiasm was genuinely contagious.In conclusion, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Chateux Gigognan. Your warmth and professionalism made this tour extraordinarily special and memorable. L'activité était intéressante et j'ai appris beaucoup de choses. J'ai globalement apprécié les vins, ils étaient plutôt bons, surtout les blancs.
