We ended up with a private tour for two of us. Our host was very welcoming and knowledgable, the family is very friendly, the property is lovely and we enjoyed learning about their winemaking process while tasting the wines.

Merci pour cette belle visite ! Nous avons appris beaucoup de choses et réalisé à quel point ce métier est exigeant. L'accueil a été chaleureux, la dégustation pleine de surprises et nous avons profité de la boutique pour quelques souvenirs !
Lovely family owned chateau

Chateau Mauvinon is a very nice quite small family run chateau in the region of St. Emilion. We had booked the tour in English and we were the only visitors. Our guide was all we could have asked for and we absolutely reccomend her. The title of the tour is absolutely correct. She explained everything to us in detail, from the vineyards to the wine making process. She answered all our questions. The tasting afterwards was spectacular because we could do it on the roof terrace above the tasting room with a super view over the vineyards. Overall, it was a great experience! You could really feel that the people living and working on this chateau do it because they love it. We can highly recommend the tour.

Tout a été parfait. D'abord la visite (vignes, chais). La jeune guide connaît à fond son sujet. Elle le traite naturellement avec beaucoup de pédagogie, avec le sourire, et toujours prête à répondre à n'importe quelle question. Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de note, il y avait beaucoup à apprendre au cours de cette visite.Ensuite la dégustation qui est un véritable moment de détente. Nous avions opté pour la formule avec fromage. Les trois vins étaient différents, servis "comme il faut" question température. Peut-être que les fromages auraient mérité d'être un peu plus vieux, avec davantage de goût. Mais c'est peut-être une question de culture fromagère pour nous qui venons du Pays Basque et sommes habitués aux fromages un peu plus "costauds".? Continuez à proposer cette expérience !

We booked a wine tour at the château and we had a wonderful experience. Our guide was very professional, friendly and knowledge. She provided us with lots if insight into the process of wine making which makes our appreciation of wines much more interesting. After the tour we had wine tasting in a lovely relaxed environment. We would recommend the Château Mauvinon tour to anyone who appreicates the value of independently run vineyards and grest wines. A wonderful expericence. Merci
