Pique Russe

This tour and tasting is a great little find, somewhat off the beaten track. There were 6 of us, and started with a tour of Yves’ vines and the history of his brand, all very interesting. We went back to his distillery for an explanation of how his wine is made and the different ‘blends’. This was followed into his ‘cave’ for a tasting session. We tried all of his wines. We were a little sceptical of Charentais Wines, but these surpassed all that we have tried before! Needless to say we left with a few cases! Yves is very knowledgeable and charismatic, and a great host. We will definitely be recommending this to all our friends and guests staying at our gites.

Enchantée de cette visite. Nous avons appris plein de choses dans les vignes et dans le chai. Léo nous a présenté le domaine avec passion, pédagogie et générosité. Ce serait une joie de revenir à l'autonome pour participer aux vendanges.

Tout s'est super bien passé. Après un joli accueil, nous avons eu toutes les explications nécessaires lors de la dégustation, et sommes repartis avec quelques bouteilles même si on ne vient pas d'ici. On recommande !

This visit was part of our wine tour in the Charente and Charente Maritime. We were greeted by the owner, Pierre Sins who made us feel extremely welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this small, rustic vineyard. We spent some time understanding the background to the vineyard and the processes involved- extremely informative! The wines we sampled were excellent and testament to the understanding and care of the owner to the concepts required to produce good quality wine in the Charente. Cannot recommend a visit highly enough and we shall certainly be purchasing more wine in the future!

Un domaine familial pour une visite qui l'est tout autant. La passion de Monsieur Lageat est contagieuse. Ses vins sont agréables à la dégustation. Nous reviendrons sans doute.

Accueillis et guidés par une homme qui connait très bien son sujet et qui répond à toutes nos questions, bravo ! La balade dans les vignes est un vrai plus. Dégustation très bien détaillée et bien accompagnée. Merci beaucoup !

Nous avons passé un très bon. Moment à découvrir le vignoble et le chai, et avons beaucoup apprécié notre dégustation ! Une histoire et un vin de qualité en Charente : bravo ! Nous ne manquerons pas de repasser commande.
