Vins Marquis de Montmelas

We were only able to visit two locations in Beaujolais, but this was definitely our favorite. The guide was very knowledgeable and her husband is the winemaker. The tour was thorough and quite interesting. Wine were tasty, too!

We've had a wonderfull tasting and a small tour in the winemakery. We were lucky because the husband & sun were currently working on the processing of the grapes. We were shown all around and with an enthusiastic story.

Tout d'abord, je tiens à souligner l’accueil excellent qui nous a été réservé pour cette dégustation. Dans un endroit chargé d'histoire, cette dégustation a été un réel moment de plaisir gustatif, mais aussi de culture, tant les explications de la Maitresse des lieux ont été , comme les vins, généreuses. De plus, il est rare qu'une personne puisse s'exprimer en espagnol, ce qui a été le cas, et nous tenons à remercier particulièrement la personne qui nous a accueilli pour ses efforts et sa gentillesse. Je recommande chaleureusement cette cave familiale et ses vins.

The property is so gorgeous and such a unique experience. The tasting was amazing and our host gave us so much great information about Beaujolais! Thank you so much!

We have visited several vineyards in France and Daphine made us feel the most welcome of all. Her deep knowledge of wine making and the region let us understand the different methods used to achieve their wonderful wines. Her English is excellent and answered all of our questions. A great experience and near Lyon.

Another Chateaux that is generously sharing their time and wines - this is what makes the Beaujolais such an amazing region to visit. Here the wines were not quite as fruit forward, but beautifully structured and just needing some bottle age to fill out. And the view is stunning.

Une visite intéressante. On en a beaucoup appris sur la partie où il travaille le vin, la vinification. Ce fut un bon moment.

Nous avons été reçus par la femme du vigneron qui nous a réservé un accueil cordial dans un cadre agréable. Je suis sommelier de formation et j'ai apprécié les détails et les commentaires qui étaient bien construits. D'un endroit à un autre, la dame prenait le temps qu'il fallait. L'espace de dégustation est grand. En tant qu'amateur de vin, j'ai trouvé le vin travaillé d'autant plus que nous avons le choix entre une large gamme de leur vin. La dame demandait un retour après la dégustation. C'était très enrichissant.
