Château Lanessan

We had an excellent visit to Chateau Lanessan. Our guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The Musee de Cheval was very interesting and the oenology element first rate. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the wines and purchased some too, it was very good value. We would definitely recommend the visit.

I had a great tour guide who answered all my questions about the history of the property and a good tasting. She was passionate about wine too and had some good insights. I also enjoyed the wine. Happy to recommend it!

The tour was great, we actually got a private tour as there were noon else who booked it. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the place and of course the vines and wine. The horse carriage museum was also a very interesting feature!

We wanted to visit some wine estates whilst staying in the Bordeaux region, and decided to visit Chateau Lanessan. It turned out to be one of the best visits we had this holiday. OK, the weather may have helped, as it was one of the first sunny days we had this year (end of May), but it so happens we were the only three to be taken on the tour. Our guide graciously accepted we take the dog with us. The young lady was very knowledgeable, showed us part of the estate, the garden, the carriage museum and the cellars, before taking us for a tasting of some wines. There, too, plenty of knowledge in helping to determine the flavours and aromas. Truly excellent tour.

It was a great tour and experience! The guide was very good and knew a lot about the family and the history of the Château. Very interesting were the stables, which you don't find in another castle. At the moment, the castle is restored. Very beautiful garden with very old and beautiful trees. Good wines.

The Château was very big and all the stories of it were interesting. It was an amazing and impressive experience!
