Château de Saint Martin, Cru Classé

Nous avons réalisé une visite du musée interactif ainsi qu’une dégustation et avons découvert les goûts et odeurs de la Provence et ses spiritueux. Ce fut une excellente expérience ! Je recommande !

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, lovely wines and excellent value for money.

The visit commences by a video presentation and the multimedia museum that tells the history of Château Saint Martin, and their wines and spirits. That is followed by a visit of the facilities, including the distillery, and a very good overview of the various techniques used to produce wine and spirits. The selection of wines for the tasting was very good, allowing for a good sample of the range of wines they produce. The host was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and the location is very picturesque.

Habituellement, les visites se font avec un guide qui explique l'histoire et les caractéristiques du domaine, mais cette fois-ci, le guide ne parle que 5 minutes et vous laisse seul dans la cave avec une vidéo. Il serait beaucoup plus agréable que tout ce qui est expliqué dans la vidéo (qui est intéressante) soit raconté par une personne lors de la visite du domaine. Après la vidéo, il y a un mini musée des spiritueux qui est sympa, mais encore une fois, ce serait beaucoup mieux s'il y avait un guide pour expliquer. La meilleure partie de la visite a été la dégustation. Nous avons dégusté 7 vins, dont le vin rouge spécial qui n'est produit que lorsque le vigneron le juge approprié et dont la dernière fois remonte à 2011. Un vin magnifique.

We chose this wine yard for a visit because they had something “extra” with the interactive spirits museum. It was well created for adults but also full of fun things to explore, smell and touch for our son. Big thumbs up!The 1.5h tour it it self was a little disappointing, it only consisted of you being guided to the cellar and then put in front of a movie about the heritage of the castle. (Well produced and informative though!) but no live presentation at all about the vines - they have a 2.5h visit to, where I suppose they do more of this - so make sure you chose that option if you are actually interested in wine.The girls at the reception were nice and the wine tasting itself was good, and comfy relaxed at the bar with some snacks. Very nice rose wines and interesting reds. We do recommend!Overall a nice visit, but some more story telling and presentation from the staff would have made it perfect!
